Information on the NIU Campus Tragedy

2008 God Squad Mission Trip to Waterloo, Iowa

Who is going?
18 youth, 4 adults, and 1 staff member will represent our church; committed souls who think it’s great fun to work hard during the day repairing homes of the poor and elderly. At night? Praise and worship and singing with 400 of our friends from all over the world; Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, together as one.
What is it?
Group Work Camp 2008.   This will be the 9th year that our church has sent volunteers to work camp.  It is an experience that has changed the lives of many.  We want you to join us in doing God’s work for others.  Visit Group Workcamps for more information.
When and where are we going?
We’ll be going to Waterloo, Iowa from July 20 - 26.

Why are we doing this?
There are many people in this country living in poverty. When we help the less fortunate we’re making the world a better place… one nail, one brushstroke, one wheelchair ramp at a time.
What is the cost?
$600 per person.  Each attendee will be personally responsible for $250 with fundraising to cover the remainder.  The church requires a $50 deposit by March 25th to secure your spot.  The remaining $200 can be received by May 15th.  Scholarships are available.  Pick up a request form in the church office or download one here.
